We currently have a permanent part time opportunity for a Community Support Worker to join our house in Dural. You will be working with 4 adults who enjoy a chat and a good joke! You will be supporting them in all aspects of their lives and engaging them on daily activities such as cooking, crafting and shopping.

Your role will be to actively support and promote a quality of life for people with a disability by providing quality services using person centered approaches that focus on developing a person's potential to participate as independently as possible within their home and the community.

You will be required to support and assist our clients with:

  • Cleaning
  • Menu planning
  • Cooking
  • Shopping
  • Budgeting
  • Travel
  • Training
  • Money handling skills
  • Safety awareness
  • Personal Care

We are looking for individuals who are alert, energetic & possess a positive attitude toward working with people with disabilities and their families. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A contemporary attitude towards people with a disability
  • Creative ideas in supporting people with a disability to be included in the community
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Professionalism, positivity & flexibility
  • Ability to work independently & as part of a team
  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Flexibility to work rotating rosters, including evenings & weekends
  • Comprehensively insured car & valid NSW drivers licence
  • Ideally have experience in supporting people with disability
