Systems Accountant

To provide the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Management with accurate, timely information, data analysis and reports to ensure Sunnyfield performance and future strategic, business and operational planning and activities meet corporate goals, policies, regulations, procedures and outcomes.


Duties will include:


  • Lead the month end close procedures ensuring that all deadlines are met, train and coach team members on month end activities and ensure accuracy and completeness of all assigned tasks.
  • Ensure all system reconciliations are performed timely and accurately, work proactively to automate reconciliation procedures where necessary.
  • Govern the approval and creation processes for both profit and cost centres to ensure that internal data structures reflect the strategic intent of the organisation.
  • Maintain data structures and the integrity of reporting produced from Business Intelligence tools to ensure that reporting outputs meet the needs of the business as well as maintaining integrity and accuracy.
  • Ensure efficiency in the data lifecycle maintenance processes (customer, material master, pricing and costing processes)
  • Lead and ensure an effective key user network for Navision, Riteq (Rostering), Chris21 (Payroll) and TCM (NDIS billing).
  • To be an information partner for financial accounting, finance business partners and Sunnyfield Business Units.


You will have:

  • Degree in Accounting and/or Professional Accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) or studying towards.
  • 7 years' plus experience in a management accountant / finance role or accounting position.
  • Demonstrated experience in month end closing in an ERP environment (preferably Navision or MS Dynamics).
  • Strong demonstrable experience in ERP Financial Processes (prefer Navision but not essential).
  • Experience GL mapping for new divisions / companies via M&A (amalgamations).
  • Exceptional technical account knowledge and experience.
  • Customer and Material Master Data experience highly regarded.
  • Strong experience in ERP migration and upgrade projects.
  • Financial and Management Accounting expertise.
  • Proven experience working within a matrix style environment.
  • Proven experience developing and maximising the use of Business Intelligence systems and tools.
  • Advanced excel skills including macros.
