Community Support Worker Role - 30hrs per fortnight

We currently have a permanent part time opportunity of 30 hours per fortnight for a Community Support Worker to join our Group Home in Toongabbie. This is a supportive home with monthly team meetings and monthly one to one catch ups.

Your role will be to actively support and promote a quality of life for people with a disability by providing quality services using person centered approaches that focus on developing a person's potential to participate as independently as possible within their home and the community.

You will be required to support and assist our clients with:

  • Cleaning
  • Personal Care
  • Menu planning and cooking
  • Shopping, budgeting and money handling skills
  • Travel
  • Training
  • Safety awareness

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A contemporary attitude towards people with a disability
  • Creative ideas in supporting people with a disability to be included in the community
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Professionalism, positivity & flexibility
  • Ability to work independently & as part of a team
  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Flexibility to work rotating rosters, including evenings & weekends
  • NSW Driver's License - sorry we don't take International License
  • Experience in supporting people with disability
