Sunnyfield is a large not-for-profit organisation with a Person Centred approach to providing services to people with disability. We currently have an opportunity for Response Team Investigator to join the Quality, Risk & Compliance team.

Reporting to the Head of Response Team, you will be responsible for conducting investigations into allegations of assault, abuse and neglect of Sunnyfield clients. You will be documenting and reporting those investigations in accordance with legislative requirements and Sunnyfield's Policies and Procedures.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract, based at Allambie Heights.

About the role

  • Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times with dealings on all matters
  • Develop correspondence, briefings and reports in a timely manner
  • Provide timely and accurate status updates
  • Make mandatory reports to relevant external agencies as per legislative requirements
  • Supporting all staff in understanding of their role as mandatory reporters
  • Prepare reports for management and Sunnyfield Board on statuses and updates on investigations
  • Ensuring all notes are accurate and current for all investigations

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Law Enforcement, Welfare, Community Development or related discipline
  • Minimum three years' experience conducting investigations. This includes obtaining and drafting witness statements, conducting interviews, compiling briefs of evidence, drafting comprehensive investigation reports and reporting to external bodies
  • Experience in dealing with people from the community to stakeholders within the external agencies
  • Ability to co-ordinate work & prioritise tasks
  • Have strong written communication & interpersonal skills
