Sunnyfield is a large not-for-profit organisation with a Person Centred approach to providing services to people with disability. We currently have an opportunity for a Return to Work Coordinator to join the Quality, Risk & Compliance team.

Reporting to the Work, Health and Safety Manager, you will implement Sunnyfield's Return to Work Program. This role works pro-actively, professionally and collaboratively with staff at all levels to develop, assess and coordinate compliant return to work programs.

About the role

  • Collaborate with managers across 90+ sites to maximise positive outcomes for injured workers and Sunnyfield
  • Be the primary point of contact for workplace injuries for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide responsive and timely advice, guidance and support to injured workers prior to and during their return and recovery at work
  • Proactively manage complex claims
  • Participate in regular strategic claims review with iCare and brokers
  • Follow outstanding claims
  • Liaise with Payroll team in the calculation PIAWR and monitoring hours worked for worker's compensation claims
  • Complete reimbursement requests and forward claim correspondence and documentation to relevant parties.
  • Facilitate a best practice approach to recovery at work, with workers supported to return to work as soon as possible in line with medical advice

About you

  • SITA Return to Work Certificate
  • Tertiary qualifications in Work, Health and Safety, Allied Health (or related qualification)
  • Experience in return to work Coordination, workers compensation or injury management
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety and Worker's Compensation legislation
  • Knowledge or NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Ability to co-ordinate work & prioritise tasks
  • Have strong written communication & interpersonal skills
