Sunnyfield is a large not-for-profit organisation with a person centred approach to providing services to people with disabilities. We have an opportunity for someone to join our friendly team at Maitland in an Administration Support role to support our Service Manager to provide quality services to people with a disability, their families and carers.

The focus of this role will be to provide administrative assistance to the Service Manager across the region to ensure ongoing day to day operational requirements are delivered. This will include undertaking minor project tasks as required. Responsibilities will include database management / support, records maintenance, minute taking, responding to service requests, client/family enquiries; mail distribution as well as providing back-up and relief support when required. 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Strong communication (written & verbal) and relationship development skills
  • Experience in the disability sector is preferred
  • Ability to use initiative and is proactive
  • Tertiary or Office Administration qualification or equivalent
  • Commitment to the rights of people with disabilities
  • High level of organisational skills & the ability to handle multiple tasks & meet tight deadlines
  • Strong clerical & administrative skills including database management
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • High level of keyboard competency & accuracy
