Do you have experience in delivering training? Have you provided support to people with disability? This is a rare opportunity to combine both skills!

As a Vocational Services Coordinator you will effectively coordinate, supervise and support the activities of the School Leaver and Vocational Programs. These programs will be offered to participants with the appropriate NDIS funding.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the development & achievement of individual vocational training goals by effectively communicating and consulting with participants, family members and other key stakeholders
  • Ensuring each participant has the opportunity to participate in classroom training, on the job training and skills development according to their identified goals
  • Developing and maintain effective relationships with local schools, other disability organisations and community groups to facilitate recruitment into the program and support the growth of the program at the site

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Knowledge of the operating environment of the NDIS
  • Experience in supporting younger people with a disability to transition from school to work
  • Experience in supporting people with a disability in a work and/or work preparation environment
  • Experience in the delivery of on the job training for people with a disability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage participants, family members and other stakeholders in the successful delivery of the programs
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Project and Word)
  • Negotiation and problem solving skills
