We are a large non for profit organisation who have been creating choice and opportunity for people living with a disability for over 67 years. We empower individuals to work towards their goals, increase independence, develop skills and participate as valued and active members of our community.

We have multiple opportunities in the Northern Beaches area for permanent employment - part time and full time capacity. Locations are: Cromer, Mona Vale and Terrey Hills. 

 

Your role

  • As a Community Support Worker you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients living in a group home. This could include individuals with high levels of independence and skills, as well as individuals who require higher levels of support and who are complex in their support needs.
  • You will be required to support 4-5 clients to live independently in their own home, creating a positive environment to live in. Also, supporting clients with personal care and domestic tasks such as menu planning, cooking and cleaning.
  • Our operational support hours for group homes are 24/7, therefore shifts could start at 6am, 2pm or later during the day. You will also be required to work some night shifts, either active nights or sleepovers depending on your preference. Weekend work is also available.

 

The must have's

  • Willingness to work outside standard 9 to 5 business hours
  • Ability to work independently & as part of a team
  • Intermediate computer skills & system savvy
  • NSW driver's license
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Working With Children Check
